Robert Fay Mr. Universe from Sydney, Australia

Robert Fay is the former Mr. Australia, Mr. Asia, Mr. South Pacific, and Mr. Universe Southern. In 1983 he broke his biceps tendon while trying to win the championship of heavy weight lifting. His arm was operated by the Australian Micro Surgeon, Dr. Earl Owens. He remarked that after his surgery he won't be able to lift even a glass of milk anymore.

He surprised the world when six months later he entered the same competition came out as second winner for the 769 pounds deadlift event. The medias called him THE PHOENIX RISING FROM HIS ASHES.


Later a business partner cheated him which caused his bankruptcy. Then his wife left him to marry another man and refused him permission to see his twin daughters.
He was so depressed that he attempted a suicide by jumping into the cold water of the Parramatta river from the Sydney Harbour Bridge. But suddenly a policeman appeared from nowhere and grabbed him while trying to climb over the railing and drop himself into his death.

For two years he lived in seclusion and self-isolation, living only on weetbix, bread, water and cheap fruits he bought from the fruit market or given by kind neighbours.

Two months ago he picked up a pamphlet from a group of Christians who called themselves The Truth That Reign Church, telling about the only True Hope in Jesus Christ and invitation to study more about this message at their meeting place in Sefton, in the western suburb of Sydney.

Consequently he met Pr. Sammy Lee who happened to be preaching in the community hall where the group of believers worship. Robert was very interested in his presentation and has been studying with him about religion from then on. He is now determined to become an evangelist joining forces to proclaim the message of hope to the world. They have been invited to present their incredible story to several churches of different denominations in Bali, and Jakarta, Indonesia.
